I remember reading a book on logic a few years back. In it was a short explanation of why people who bet on roulette wheels or play the lottery must be either stupid or crazy. (Either a person is unable to judge how low their chances are of winning, in which case we can reasonably call them stupid, or they do indeed know the odds and that the bank will always beat them in the long term yet they still play, in which case we can call them crazy.)
Would it be fair to say the same of people who don’t cycle? Those who can’t judge the health benefits are stupid. Those who know the health benefits yet don’t cycle are crazy.
FYI: The book was this one. Highly recommended by all the reader-reviewers at Amazon. And by myself.
